How to Do a Week's Work in a Day with Claude

A practical walkthrough of the prompts and workflows we use to compress research, writing and planning into a single focused session.

We've tested this personally. What used to take a full week — research, synthesis, writing, planning, review — can be compressed into a single focused session using Claude.

The key isn't prompting harder. It's structuring your work so that AI handles the heavy lifting and you make the decisions.

Start with research. Give Claude a clear brief and ask it to gather, summarise and structure everything you need to know. This alone saves hours.

Then move to writing. Don't start from scratch. Feed Claude your notes, your angle, your audience — and ask it to produce a first draft. It won't be perfect. It doesn't need to be. Your job is to edit, not to write.

Planning is the same. Give Claude your goals, your constraints, your context. Ask it to break down the week. Review and adjust. Done in minutes.

The bottleneck was never the work itself. It was the friction. AI removes the friction. What's left is judgment — and that's yours.
